Open Composition brings together paintings conceived as modular works, where structure, variation, and spatial relation are central. Fixed painted elements can be installed in multiple configurations, allowing each work to respond to the wall, the architecture, and the specific conditions of the space in which it appears.
Rather than functioning as closed compositions, these works remain open to reconfiguration. Meaning emerges not only through color, rhythm, and proportion, but also through the relationship between parts, intervals, and placement. Each installation activates a new reading of the work, shifting the balance between painting, object, and spatial composition.
In Open Composition, abstraction is approached as a dynamic system — one that is stable in its elements yet variable in its arrangement. The series explores how painting can extend beyond a fixed surface and engage in direct dialogue with space.
