FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here you can find answers to some of the most common questions about my artworks, limited editions, orders, shipping and commissions.

If you cannot find what you are looking for, please feel free to contact me at info.begolafuenteart@gmail.com.

ARTWORKS

Are the artworks original?

Yes. All artworks are original works created by me.

Some are unique, one-of-a-kind works, such as original paintings and individually created or hand-finished pieces. Others are original works issued in limited editions.

My limited editions are not reproductions or photographs of an existing physical artwork. In these works, the digital process is part of the creation of the artwork itself, and the fine art print is its physical form.

Each limited edition is produced in a strictly defined number and its edition details are clearly stated on the artwork page.

What is a limited edition?

A limited edition is produced in a fixed and predetermined number of copies.

The edition size is stated on the individual artwork page. Each copy is signed and numbered where indicated, and no additional copies will be produced beyond the stated edition.

Are all limited editions kept in stock?

Not necessarily. Some limited editions are produced after an order is placed.

If an artwork is produced to order, the estimated production time will be indicated on the artwork page.

Producing an edition after receiving an order does not make it a commissioned or personalised artwork. It remains part of the edition described on the website.

Do artworks come with a Certificate of Authenticity?

Yes, original artworks and limited editions are supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity where indicated.

The certificate includes relevant information about the artwork and, in the case of limited editions, its edition number.

Will the artwork look exactly as it does on my screen?

I make every effort to photograph and reproduce my work as accurately as possible.

However, colours and tones can vary slightly depending on your screen, device and display settings.

For this reason, please refer to the dimensions, materials and technical information provided on each artwork page in addition to the photographs.

Does the artwork arrive ready to hang?

This depends on the artwork and presentation.

The individual artwork page will specify whether a work is framed, mounted or supplied ready to hang.

If you have any questions about installing a particular artwork, please contact me before purchasing.

ORDERS & PAYMENT

How can I purchase an artwork?

Available artworks can be purchased directly through the online shop.

If you have a question about an artwork before purchasing, you are always welcome to contact me.

Are prices inclusive of VAT?

Yes. Prices displayed to consumers include applicable VAT unless expressly stated otherwise.

Shipping costs, where applicable, are shown separately before completing your purchase.

What payment methods do you accept?

Available payment methods will be displayed during checkout.

Can I reserve an artwork?

If you are seriously considering an artwork but need to discuss something before purchasing it, please contact me.

Because original artworks are unique, I cannot guarantee availability until a reservation or purchase has been expressly confirmed.

The artwork I saw at an exhibition is not in the online shop. Is it still available?

Possibly.

Not every available artwork will necessarily appear in the online shop. If you have seen a work at an exhibition, on my website or on social media, please contact me with the title or an image and I will be happy to check its availability.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Where do you ship?

I currently ship within the Netherlands and the European Union.

For destinations outside the European Union, please contact me before purchasing so that I can check the available shipping options and provide a quote.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping costs depend on the dimensions, weight, materials, destination and packaging requirements of the artwork.

The applicable shipping cost will be shown before purchase or communicated to you where an individual shipping quote is required.

How long will my artwork take to arrive?

This depends on whether the artwork is already available or needs to be produced.

Works in stock will normally be prepared for shipment within the timeframe indicated on the website.

Limited editions produced after an order is received require additional production time. The estimated production time will be indicated on the artwork page.

How will my artwork be packaged?

Each artwork is carefully packaged according to its size, materials and presentation.

Particular attention is given to fragile and large-format artworks to ensure appropriate protection during transport.

Is shipping tracked and insured?

Where appropriate for the artwork and destination, shipping will include tracking and suitable transport insurance.

Shipping information will be provided once your artwork has been dispatched, where available.

Can I collect an artwork in person?

Collection may be possible for certain artworks by prior arrangement in the Netherlands.

Please contact me before purchasing if you would like to discuss collection.

What happens if my artwork arrives damaged?

Please contact me as soon as possible and preferably within 48 hours of delivery.

Take photographs of the external and internal packaging, the shipping label and the artwork itself, and keep all packaging until the issue has been resolved.

I will work with you to arrange an appropriate solution.

For full details, please see Shipping & Returns.

RETURNS

Can I return an artwork purchased online?

If you are purchasing as a consumer and no statutory exception applies, you normally have a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal for online purchases.

Please see Shipping & Returns for full information about how to exercise this right and return an artwork.

Who pays for return shipping?

If you exercise your right of withdrawal because you have changed your mind, the direct cost of returning the artwork is normally your responsibility.

If an artwork arrives damaged, is incorrect or does not conform to your order, please contact me before returning it so that I can arrange an appropriate solution.

Can I return a limited edition that was produced after I ordered it?

A standard limited edition does not become personalised simply because it is produced after your order is placed.

If the normal statutory right of withdrawal applies, it can therefore be exercised in accordance with the Shipping & Returns Policy.

Can I return a commissioned artwork?

An artwork made specifically according to your individual specifications or clearly personalised may be excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal.

Where this applies, I will make this clear to you before you confirm the commission.

COMMISSIONS

Do you accept commissions?

I accept selected commissions where the project is compatible with my artistic practice.

Please contact me with some information about what you have in mind and I will let you know whether the project is something I can undertake.

How does a commissioned artwork work?

We will first discuss the nature of the commission, dimensions, materials and any relevant requirements.

I will then confirm the agreed specifications, price, payment terms and estimated completion time before work begins.

A commission is an original artwork created within my artistic language. While we will agree on the essential characteristics of the project, the creative process and final artistic decisions remain part of my work as the artist.

Can I request a particular size or colour?

You are welcome to tell me about the space, dimensions or colour considerations you have in mind.

Whether these can be incorporated will depend on the artwork and the nature of the commission.

Do you work with interior designers, businesses and galleries?

Yes. I welcome enquiries from interior designers, architects, galleries, businesses and other professional partners regarding artworks, exhibitions and potential collaborations.

Please contact me directly to discuss your project.

CARE & DISPLAY

How should I care for my artwork?

Care depends on the materials and presentation of the individual work.

As a general rule, artworks should be handled carefully and protected from excessive humidity, heat and prolonged direct sunlight.

Specific care information can be provided where appropriate.

How should I clean Plexiglas?

Plexiglas surfaces should be handled carefully and cleaned using products and materials suitable for acrylic surfaces.

Avoid abrasive cleaners, rough cloths or products that could scratch or damage the surface.

Can I place an artwork in direct sunlight?

As with most artworks, prolonged exposure to strong direct sunlight is best avoided.

Good placement and appropriate environmental conditions will help preserve the artwork over time.
